AROUND THE HOUSES RACING
THE BMH TAKES TO THE STREETS
The BMH was built to
compete in the popular street racing scene in Western Australia,
competition was keen in all parts of the state and in particular
Northam where the car was built. Being the Holden distributor for the
district Badger wanted a racing car and it had to be Holden to the boot
straps. And it was so no better place to launch the BMH than at Northam
where Neville Hammond attended proud to see the creation he made 50
years earlier come and put on a show, it managed practice but in the
first event the gearbox exploded and was hastliy returned to the pits
and the Badger Chevrolet wheeled out to replace it, the following year
2008 it performed well and has gone on to compete at many other around
the Houses events in WA.
