AROUND THE HOUSES RACING – THE BMH TAKES TO THE STREETS
The BMH was built to compete in the popular street racing scene in Western Australia, competition was keen in all parts of the state and in particular Northam where the car was built. Being the Holden distributor for the district Badger wanted a racing car and it had to be Holden to the boot straps. And it was so no better place to launch the BMH than at Northam where Neville Hammond attended proud to see the creation he made 50 years earlier come and put on a show, it managed practice but in the first event the gearbox exploded and was hastliy returned to the pits and the Badger Chevrolet wheeled out to replace it, the following year 2008 it performed well and has gone on to compete at many other around the Houses events in WA.
